The Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006 – Guide 10: Redress: dealing with a case of discrimination

This TAEN guide provides information on how to deal with suspected cases of discrimination - because in most instances it is individual workers, job seekers, trainees and others who will have to initiate action if the Age Regulations are not not complied with.

The guide describes the procedures employees should follow if they:

• wish to lodge a grievance about the action of their employer
• are subject to an unfair dismissal or disciplinary procedure
• wish to take action in relation to the retirement procedure.

It also covers grievance procedures for people who are not employees (but who may be job seekers or ex-employees) and for trainees and students.
