In their role as employers in their own right, training providers are able to use the wealth of materials which have been produced for employers (see Guides in the ‘For employers’ section).

In their role as employment service, training and/or career guidance providers however, there is less material available. Some of the trade and professional bodies representing them have issued information, albeit often recycled from other sources. Some of these materials are listed on the Useful Links section of the site, under the name of the organisation which has produced them. In some instances, however, they may only be available to members of that organisation.

The Acas Guide for Employers and the Department for Trade and Industry information sheets do contain information relating to the responsibilities and duties of recruitment agencies, training and career guidance providers.

In addition, TAEN has issued a specific Briefing – Age Legislation and Funding of Training. We have also produced Guides on those aspects of the Regulations applying to Training and Exemptions – although these have primarily been written with individuals in mind.
